is a Creole wooden house dating from 1856, it is located on the foothills
of the Montagne Pelée who spared in 1902: it is a construction
testifying lifestyle in Saint-Pierre prior to the disaster of 1902 that
destroys the town and its 30,000 inhabitants

La Maison du Géreur is located on the housing Morne l'Etoile, (housing
is the term designating local plantations and buildings thereon) to ten
minutes drive from the town of Saint-Pierre, you will find an area lovingly
restored and an atmosphere timeless showing a lifestyle now gone; An art
of living which, far from the juddering of the modern world, goes back to
the tradition of welcoming the West Indies.
The first settlers arrived
in Martinique chose the north of the island to settle here because of the
many rivers, the rich soil and the climate they found there.
St. Pierre, the capital of the colony, gave merchant ships into a safe haven
where there was an atmosphere of both industrious and sophisticated to the
point that the city was nicknamed "the pearl of the Antilles".
The rustle of leaves, the murmur
of water, and birdsong create an atmosphere conducive to listening to serenity,
the idle time will allow you to really relax and enjoy with greater intensity
